My Nest Protect is expiring. How can I replace my device?
To meet certification standards, 2nd gen Nest Protect must be replaced after 10 years from the date of manufacture. When you’ve determined that your device needs to be replaced, you’ll need to select a replacement device, uninstall your Nest Protect, and set up your replacement device.
The First Alert Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm is a compatible replacement for your 2nd gen Nest Protect. Note: First Alert Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm will work with your other Nest Protect devices only in the Google Home app.
